MORNING NOTES

Three days to Eid ul-Fitr.. The atmosphere of the holy day has been spreading through the windows to the streets, markets and homes.. Feels so good and peaceful..

The scenes are somewhat the same every year. All TV channels are presenting ramadhan updates : from suhoor show, tausiah from famous ustadzs, special fashion to favorite foods for Eid ul-Fitr..  ‘Mudik’ updates keeps on all tv stations, showing heavy transportation from cities to all remote destinations. Breaking news are ranging from rising train and bus tickets fare to the life threatening accidents.. So particular..

But there’s something different in my family preparation for Eid ul-Fitr this time. Usually a week before Eid, we were staying at home to clean up the house, stacking the cookies at the livingroom table, doing some shopings and visiting my parents and parents in law. This time, almost of all ramadhan days are spent at the hospital and my parents in law house. My mother in law collaps from her cronic diabetic disease.. ironicaly from hypoglicemia where her blood sugar was droping significanly to 40 (from usualy 200), thus making her unconscious up untill now.

So our ramadhan days filled with mixed worries and prayers. All colleages, neighbours, distant families, are coming to see her condition and pray for her wellness. All her daughters, sons, daughters in law, son in law are focus on taking care of her.

Well, this is life.. The wheel of life keep moving.. And ours is at its bottom now..

But apart from the negatives side, this condition has its positives things. Teamwork spirit has been raising among the family members. Empathy as well as spirituality also coming up intensly. Afternoon and evening prayers are always recited by all family along with Qoran reading. Most of family member are having ‘ifthar’ (break fasting) together so the warm atmosphere of togetherness has enlighten the day.

I read a book recently.. It says that all that happening to us has a special purpose from God. All are being tailord specialy just for us in order to teach us something. We are asked to reveal the ‘hikmah’ between all incidents. Even a small leaf won’t fall from its tree if it’s not have God permission. So are our days.

This thingking makes me more relax and grateful. That only Allah that I need. Only Allah will support me in all my troubles and despair. My restless heart only can be calmed by the awareness of His presence..

Morning is over.. The sun slowly appears to brighten the day. Another day to encounter.. another mission must be done. The days will continue coming until our mission is accomplished. Then our soul will be called home to its Owner.. To its true home village and eternally live ever after..

My Allah guides our way to our final destination.. Amen..
